đŻ Your main goal will be to support the build-out of n8nâs legal function as a foundational hire â enabling our sales team to close complex deals at scale while shaping a modern, AI-first legal strategy.
To do so, here are your responsibilities:
Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including SaaS (cloud and on-prem), DPA, channel, partnership, and vendor contracts
Partner closely with the sales and revenue teams to drive deals to close
Deliver creative, risk-based solutions that unlock revenue and protect the business
Provide pragmatic legal advice on GDPR, international data transfers, CCPA, and other global privacy frameworks
Advise crossâfunctional teams on the legal implications of AI in product development and goâtoâmarket strategy
Help set a scalable, forwardâlooking approach to AI and privacy governance
Work with stakeholders across the company to solve legal questions in realâtime with a builder mindset
Improve and maintain scalable legal templates, playbooks, and training materials
Help design and implement a selfâserve legal portal and processes to support a fastâscaling global team
âď¸ Qualified lawyer (Europe-based): You're a qualified legal professional with 5+ years PQE, ideally with both topâtier law firm and inâhouse SaaS experience
đŹ Strong English fluency: You can clearly communicate legal nuance in plain terms to global stakeholders
đ Commercial contracts expert: You have deep experience in SaaS agreements, commercial and partnership agreements, with a focus on the DACH region
đ¤ AI- and privacyâsavvy: Youâre confident navigating GDPR, CCPA, and emerging AI regulations in a practical, businessâcentric way
đ ď¸ Builder mindset: You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy solving problems without a playbook, and constantly look for ways to improve how legal works
đ Crossâfunctional collaborator: You're empathetic, businessâminded, and able to balance legal risk with product and revenue goals
đ§ Curiosity for tech and automation: You're excited to experiment with legal tech, AI tools, and scalable internal systems
đ§Š Experience with openâsource models: Familiarity with fairâcode or openâcore licensing approaches
