As a Senior Account Executive (m/w/d) for the DACH region, you will drive growth by expanding our presence within the public sector while exploring commercial opportunities. You will manage key accounts, identify new prospects, close enterprise deals, and foster long-term relationships. This role is ideal for a driven, German-speaking sales professional with expertise in the public sector and a talent for navigating complex sales environments.
What to expect
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, demonstrations, proof of concepts, and closing deals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with public sector organizations and private sector investigation teams, including government agencies and large enterprises.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline through active prospecting and collaboration with sales development partners.
- Identify opportunities to partner with threat intelligence teams and cyber investigation units within large corporations.
- Align Maltego’s solutions with the unique needs of both government organizations and private sector teams.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementations and exceptional customer outcomes.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities to drive additional revenue within existing accounts.
- Represent Maltego at industry events to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
- Stay informed on market trends, competitive offerings, and industry developments to position Maltego effectively.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of all activities, forecasts, and customer interactions.
Your profile in short
- 5–8 years of experience in enterprise software or technology sales, with proven success in public sector and private sector
- Strong experience working with government agencies, defence organizations, or law enforcement, as well as threat intelligence or cyber investigation teams in large enterprises.
- Fluent in German and English (mandatory).
- Proven ability to manage long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders across diverse sectors.
- Strong understanding of public sector procurement processes and the cybersecurity needs of private sector organizations.
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel within the DACH region as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
