Maltego is an all-in-one platform used globally by industry experts, analysts, and law enforcement agencies to help secure the internet, protect organizations and individuals against cyber-crime, and support complex investigations across a diverse spectrum of use cases.
As a Senior Account Executive – Defence, you will work specifically with defence organizations across Europe, building relationships with military units, NATO, and government-related defence bodies in Germany, France, the UK, and beyond. You will play a critical role in ensuring that Maltego becomes the solution of choice for complex investigations, helping these organizations tackle threats, secure their operations, and make data-driven decisions. This role is ideal for a seasoned sales professional with experience working in or with the defence sector, including familiarity with military structures and operations.
What to expect
Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage the full sales cycle, including discovery, solution demonstrations, proof of concepts, and closing deals.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders in defence organizations, military units, NATO, and government-affiliated defence agencies across your territory.
- Develop a deep understanding of the unique needs of defence customers, including threat intelligence and cybersecurity challenges.
- Identify new business opportunities and maintain a strong pipeline through proactive prospecting and collaboration with sales development teams.
- Collaborate with Sales Engineering and Customer Success teams to ensure successful product implementation and customer satisfaction.
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing defence accounts to drive additional revenue.
- Represent Maltego at industry events and defence-focused conferences to build the brand and establish credibility within the sector.
- Stay informed on defence industry trends, procurement processes, and market dynamics to position Maltego effectively.
- Track activities, forecasts, and customer interactions in Salesforce.com to ensure accurate reporting and planning.
Your profile in short
- 5–8 years of experience in enterprise sales with a focus on the defence sector or military organizations.
- Proven success working with defence-related customers, such as NATO, military units, and government defence agencies.
- Experience navigating complex defence procurement processes and a solid understanding of defence and military structures in Europe.
- Prior military experience or background in the armed forces before transitioning into a sales role is highly desirable.
- Fluent in German and English; additional European languages are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage long, complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Willingness to travel frequently within Europe to engage with customers and attend industry events.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
