Aviva has an excellent opportunity for the position of SVP, Chief Technical Underwriter (CTU) for Commercial Lines; this role manages Aviva’s underwriting footprint across Aviva Business and GCS portfolios, setting our underwriting and reinsurance strategy, building industry leading underwriting capability, developing technical pricing capability, ensuring significant product differentiation from our peers and providing a key oversight role over trading functions.
Reporting to the two Commercial Managing Directors, this role is accountable for GI global standards including pricing, underwriting, reinsurance and customer proposition. This person will facilitate the successful implementation and execution of business strategy, as set by MDs, through areas of technical expertise, governance, learning and development, and pricing.
This role is accountable for all technical strategies in the areas of risk concentration, governance, underwriting, pricing and reinsurance, and customer to support growth objectives and is a member of both GCS and Aviva Business Senior Leadership Teams.
Undergraduate degree in business, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or other related field or equivalent experience; coupled with 10 years of relevant P&C experience.
