Job summary
A global engineering company is seeking a Specialist, Corrosion/Material Engineer to provide technical expertise for oil and gas projects. The candidate will support engineering design and asset integrity programs. The ideal applicant has over 18 years of experience in corrosion engineering, a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, and strong knowledge of international standards. This position requires analytical and communication skills to deliver expert recommendations and guidance in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Qualifications
- 18+ years of experience in corrosion engineering and materials selection within the oil & gas sector.
- Strong knowledge of corrosion monitoring technologies.
- Familiarity with international standards (NACE, API, ISO, DNV).
Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance on corrosion mechanisms and materials selection.
- Review and approve design documents and specifications.
- Evaluate corrosion risks and recommend protection systems.
