What You Need To KnowResponsible for managing all forklift movements within the workshop, ensuring safe and efficient operations, while also assisting with the oversight, maintenance, and compliance of workshop lifting equipment and other tools.
What We Are Looking ForSome of the Key Accountabilities:- Day to day safe forklift movement of equipment and materials within the workshop.
- Assist in planning equipment movements through lift plans to reduce risks.
- Unloading of delivery vehicles and lorries making sure appropriate documentation is supplied.
- Ensuring that all delivery drivers adhere to company safety guidelines and policies when they are on site.
- Loading of company equipment ensuring documentation matches cargo and shipment summaries.
- Carry out periodic forklift and equipment maintenance checks as per company procedures.
- Monitor the use of all lift equipment and assist with any inspections and replacement as necessary.
- Make company deliveries using company provided vehicle as and when required.
- Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfil these.
- Learn all aspects of store keeping and inventory control.
- Assist day-to-day operations in Store.
Qualifications / Skills & ExperienceEducationEssential- Good level of standard education e.g. Standard Grade or equivalent.
ExperienceEssential- Forklift license (Heavy tractor).
- Experience in heavy lifts and container movements.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
- Valid forklift operator certification with clean driving license record.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
Preferred- Oil and Gas service industry experience.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics.
