A prominent construction company in Dubai is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator. You will prepare precise cost estimates for electrical systems in MEP projects. The ideal candidate has 8-10 years of experience, a Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, and proficiency in estimation software. Qualifications
- 8-10 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator within the MEP or Construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems codes and local authority regulations.
- Knowledge of pricing norms, market rates and tendering procedures in the UAE.

To prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical systems and services in MEP projects ensuring competitiveness and compliance with project specifications drawings and standards. The Electrical Estimator will analyze tender documents evaluate material and labor costs and assist in bid preparation to secure profitable projects.
- Review tender documents drawings and specifications to prepare detailed electrical estimates for MEP projects.
- Quantify and take-off materials for electrical works (cable containment wiring lighting small power panels LV/MV systems etc.).
- Prepare cost breakdowns covering material labor equipment subcontractor and overheads.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors for cost comparison and selection.
- Identify value engineering opportunities and alternatives to optimize project costs.
- Coordinate with design procurement and project teams to ensure technical and commercial accuracy of estimates.
- Support in tender clarifications pre-bid meetings and post-tender reviews.
- Prepare BOQ summaries comparison sheets and technical compliance statements.
- Ensure all estimates align with project scope specifications and local authority standards (DEWA ADDC etc.).
- Maintain a database of historical costs and supplier/subcontractor information for future reference.
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 810 years of experience as an Electrical Estimator within the MEP or Construction industry.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems codes and local authority regulations.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD MS Excel and estimation software (e.g. Candy CCS or equivalent).
- Knowledge of pricing norms market rates and tendering procedures in the UAE.
- Excellent analytical negotiation and communication skills.
