A leading global food company is seeking a Financial Controller for the Gulf & Arab Countries. The role involves financial planning, forecasting, and reporting to enhance financial performance. Ideal candidates have a degree in Finance or Business, 3-5 years experience in financial controlling, especially in FMCG, and strong proficiency in financial tools like SAP and Excel. This position offers a dynamic working environment focused on partnership and performance enhancement.
As a Financial Controller, you will play a key role in planning, monitoring, and controlling overhead and Advertising & Promotions (A&P) costs to support financial performance. You’ll partner closely with Finance Business Partners, Marketing teams and Regional Leadership to drive accurate budgeting, forecasting, monthly reporting, and cost governance activities, maximizing ROI and supporting investment decisions.
Business Partnering:
As a business partner, you will use financial modeling and data analysis to provide long-term financial planning and ensure alignment with company financial goals. Your role includes analyzing regional overheads and A&P costs identifying cost optimization opportunities, and leading continuous improvement across departments.
Planning & Forecasting:
You will work closely with Business Partners to develop and manage the annual Overhead and A&P budget and forecasts, ensuring adherence to Group guidelines. Your responsibilities include real-time budget monitoring, monthly cost analyses, tracking performance against key KPIs, and providing detailed variance analysis to guide the decision making process.
Controlling & Reporting:
In this role, you will manage monthly and year-end closings, analyze variances, and suggest improvements to regional management. Responsibilities include ROI and investment control, prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports for leadership and Group reporting standards, strengthen internal controls, templates and tools for overheads and A&P planning, tracking and reporting.
As an ideal candidate for this role, you must hold a university degree in Finance or Business Administration and have 3 to 5 years of experience in financial controlling, ideally within FMCG companies. You excel in budgeting, strategic planning, and data analysis, supported by strong analytical abilities. You must also demonstrate logical and critical thinking to thrive in fast‑paced settings where agility and the ability to perform under pressure are essential.
As a Financial Controller, you must also have strong and effective communication skills to collaborate efficiently across functions.
Proficiency in SAP/4H systems and knowledge of Power BI are considered a plus. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is essential. Fluency in English is required, Arabic is a plus.
