Job Description
We are looking for a highly conceptual & strategically minded creative with strong leadership and communication skills who is great at multitasking.
Your main role is to manage and mentor our talented studio comprising of art directors, designers, writers, and multimedia designers, ensuring world-class creative output on all fronts, no matter how big or small the project.
You will be responsible for ensuring that:
- Our big ideas shift the needle and fit the brand.
- Our creative presentations tell the right story.
- Our executions are award-winning.
Managing the creative output of the creative studios: design, multimedia, and copy (approximately 20 people).
A strong understanding of layout, typography, graphic design, print, motion graphics, branding, UX design, and effective storytelling is essential.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead brainstorms and creative sessions.
- Research, conceptualize, and lead multiple projects from inception to completion that consistently and clearly communicate and align with brand identity and strategies.
- Pitch ideas to clients and negotiate solutions to achieve optimal results.
- Monitor competitor brands and discuss findings.
- Ensure digital processes are properly executed and in line with technical requirements.
- Work closely and collaboratively with relevant agency teams on selected creative projects to ensure that such projects meet the deadline and objectives.
- Present creative work at various stages to clients/stakeholders for review and final approval.
- Advise clients/stakeholders on all technical visual recommendations and issues.
- Interface with various external vendors when required.
- Attend and direct photo shoots when required.
- Complete relevant administrative tasks such as submitting accurate timesheets, traffic updates, and team scorecards (KPIs).
- Evaluate members of the team and report back to your line manager with problems, issues, noncompliance, and work in general.
- Sign off creative work when required.
- Set up, mentor, and upskill programs within the studio.
Requirements
Workflow Management:
- Assist in securing permanent creative staff.
- Ensure briefs and creative concepts are executed correctly.
- Oversee staff induction within the creative studio.
- Manage third-party relationships (print/video/animation/photographers).

The CD's job skills will include:
- Excellent software skills relevant to their position: InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, etc.

Experience
Minimum of 8 years of agency experience.
Needs to have a minimum of 5 years experience in an Art Director Role, 3 of which should be as a senior Art Director.
Have good experience in managing and mentoring a large creative team and driving a creative agenda.
