Finance Manager

Role Overview

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the assigned business units by providing proactive financial support and strategic insights.

Role Responsibilities

1. Financial Planning: You will be responsible for leading the annual budgeting process. You will collaborate closely with department heads to establish financial targets and performance metrics. Your ability to align financial goals with strategic objectives will be crucial.
2. Forecasting: You will create and maintain accurate financial forecasts, which will involve a keen eye for detail and the ability to identify potential risks and opportunities. Regular updates to senior management will be expected.
3. Financial Analysis: You will dive deep and analyse financial data, including historical performance and industry benchmarks, to provide valuable insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
4. Variance Analysis: You will monitor budget-to-actual performance rigorously, investigate variances, provide clear explanations to management, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
5. Reporting: You will prepare and deliver comprehensive financial reports and presentations to senior leadership and any ad hoc management reports as required.
6. Project Review: Work closely with management to provide financial insight and support decision making.
7. Assist in developing and implementing financial processes and systems to improve efficiency.

Education Qualification

Degree in Accountancy OR equivalent, with professional accounting certification preferred.

Relevant Experience

• At least 8 to 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Prior external audit experience will be an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations and compliance requirement.

Professional Knowledge/ Skills

• Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office applications.
