We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in APAC at Singapore.

Job Purpose:

Refine and implement best local/sub-regional category specific strategies. Work closely with local procurement teams to identify and recommend 'best in class' suppliers and maintain good relationships with stakeholders. Prepare and support supplier negotiations at the local level.

Your tasks:

• Provide professional sourcing support for key business initiatives, supply market research/intelligence to support business decisions in investments and budgets, and establishment of local or sub-regional frame contracts.
• Integrate Procurement services at sub-regional/country level for the business colleagues (divisions) in scope, achieving greatest value contribution, benefit realization, and efficiency from all procurement activities while ensuring customer satisfaction by meeting their demands in terms of quality, price, and service.
• Specialize in strategic sourcing of vans, heavy vehicles, renovation, and facilities management capacities to reduce costs and ensure quality and supply as needed by the business/function in scope.
• Develop and maintain thorough knowledge of local:
• markets/category trends
• suppliers/key local players
• Supporting and implementing local category strategies leveraging regional and global strategies.
• Prepare and support supplier negotiations at the local level with senior colleagues.
• Prepare, conduct, and support tenders (incl. e-sourcing) with senior sourcing colleagues.
• Effectively implement local/sub-regional contracts.
• Ensure (sourcing, purchasing, company) policy adherence of local divisional colleagues.
• Supplier management:
• database maintenance
• supplier classification
• new sources identification.
• Track and maintain accurate data in the Procurement tools:
• suppliers, rates, contracts
• spend, projects, master data
• Establish close contact with local business units to ensure actual and future knowledge of demand and service quality.
• Contribute to the cooperation between countries and sourcing.

Your profile:

Education Level:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience/qualification.

Experience Level:

• 7 years of relevant experience preferably in a Procurement environment.
• Understanding of and working experience with procurement practices and procedures and commercial law, preferably category specific.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Experience with construction and renovation is expected.

Other Key Requirements:

• English conversant and local language as needed.
• Flexible to travel locally and occasionally overseas.
