As a senior member of Bloomberg's External Relations department, our team is responsible for leading the firm's strategy and engagement with Government and Regulatory authorities in relation to policy formation and regulations impacting Bloomberg and our clients.

Our team constructively contributes to the policy making process by responding to public consultations, participating in expert Working Groups, convening high-level stakeholders and delivering regulatory adherence solutions. We build and maintain a wide and deep network of partners through the organisation of high-level summits and roundtables with key decision makers and senior business leaders.

What's the role?
We are looking for a senior APAC Regulatory Specialist with a proven track record of strategic regulatory and institutional engagement across APAC. You will work closely with a wide range of colleagues to engage senior decision makers and regulators as they develop policy around capital markets and transparency, digital finance, operational resilience and sustainable finance.

As part of your work engaging regulatory institutions in the region on behalf of Bloomberg (with a focus on Singapore in particular, as well as wider ASEAN markets), you will work closely with senior members of our External Relations team in APAC as well as other key colleagues globally. The role will be based in Singapore.

We'll trust you to:

1. Position Bloomberg as a key stakeholder on important regulatory and policy debates in APAC that align with business priorities
2. Engage senior decision makers and regulators within financial markets
3. Execute on the wider advocacy and engagement priorities of the region
4. Understand and articulate the impact of regulations across markets and regions, and drive for cross-market solutions
5. Design, organise and execute regulatory and policy roundtables and high-level regulatory conferences and events across APAC
6. Work closely with our Sales and Product colleagues, as well as our Legal, Compliance, Communications and Marketing teams

You'll need to have:

1. 10+ years' experience working directly or collaborating with policymakers and regulatory authorities
2. Experience working across multiple jurisdictions in APAC
3. Experience working in financial services in a legal, government & regulatory affairs, or Policy Advisor capacity
4. Strong ability to influence both internally and externally
5. Outstanding critical thinking, research, analysis and communication skills
6. Proven track record of being a strong strategic thinker and executor, with outstanding collaboration skills
7. Ability to navigate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
8. Fluency in English to communicate with stakeholders across APAC
9. Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organisation
