Description: The Department of Game Software Design and Production is seeking an applicant with expertise in game and project management with the ability to assist in teaching project courses based on games and simulation.
We are primarily looking for someone with experience as a project manager in the game development or software development industries. A proven track record of planning projects, assessing risks and opportunities, creating budgets, communicating with stakeholders, troubleshooting problems, and resolving obstacles to project completion.
This position is offered at the Lecturer or Assistant Professor rank. Candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for appointment at the rank of Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor.
This position can be part-time or full-time depending on a candidate’s level of interest and personal commitment.
Responsibilities: The responsibilities include teaching team-based courses in game and simulation design, both 2D and 3D, with an emphasis on project management. This involves grading, reviewing, and critiquing student team projects while providing design guidance as needed throughout the course. Additionally, it requires preparing and updating Excel spreadsheets, rubrics, and other documents to track the progress of student teams. The role also involves engaging in advising and mentoring students, both individually and in teams, and conducting lectures and teaching sessions in classroom or lab settings.
