Job Description

As a professional early childhood educator, you will play an essential role in developing and caring for children aged 18 months to 6 years. You shall enrich children’s learning by carrying out a curriculum that prioritises aesthetics and creative expression, the discovery of the world, language and literacy, motor skills development, numeracy, and social and emotional development, all while providing a safe and clean environment for our little heroes to develop and grow.

Job Responsibilities

Preschool Teacher (Mother Tongue - Chinese Language)

• Implement routine care of children in a patient and kind manner, creating teachable moments.
• Create a classroom environment that is safe, joyful, and conducive to learning.
• Complete progress reports on children for each semester and prepare a developmental portfolio for each child.
• Collaborate while building a good rapport with parents and various stakeholders in guiding and sharing their child’s growth and development.

Assistant Preschool Teacher

• Assist in the execution of routine care activities e.g. feeding/meal time, diapering/toileting, bathing/washing, sleeping/napping.
• Assist in the preparation of learning activities, teaching aids, and learning corners.
• Assist in cleaning/disinfecting resources/toys.
• Assist in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activity plans for the class assigned. May be allowed to carry out activity plans with the supervision of a mentor teacher.
• Assist in documenting observations of children or activities while carrying out activities with children.
• Assist in any ad-hoc duties assigned.

Job Requirements

Preschool Teacher

• Diploma in Early Childhood Education (ECH) / Diploma in Child Psychology & Early Education (CPEE) / Diploma in Early Childhood Studies (ECS) / Diploma in Early Childhood Development & Education (ECDE) / Higher NITEC in Early Childhood Education.
• Certified by Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA) as an L1, L2 teacher or ACEY.
• Full-Time, Part-Time, and Contract position(s) available.

Assistant Preschool Teacher

• Preferably with early childhood-related certificate (e.g. Fundamental Certificate in Early Childhood Care and Education).
• Preferably with 1 year of relevant work experience as a relief teacher in a preschool environment.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• Good interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
• Able to work independently and also a team player.
