About the role

Join the dynamic team at AIWIN DESIGN SDN. BHD. as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. This full-time role is based in Kota Bharu, Kelantan and is crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of construction projects. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will oversee all aspects of cost management, contract administration, and project controls to support the company's strategic objectives.

What you'll be doing

• Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, budgets, and financial reports for construction projects
• Negotiate and administer construction contracts, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
• Provide expert advice on contractual and financial matters to project managers and stakeholders
• Analyse and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and other technical documents
• Identify and mitigate potential cost risks, implementing effective cost control measures
• Lead and mentor junior quantity surveying staff, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors to maintain positive working relationships

What we're looking for

• 8+ years of proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry
• Thorough understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and quantity surveying best practices
• Excellent technical skills in cost estimation, project control, and construction documentation
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders
• Proficient in using quantity surveying software, such as Buildsoft or CostX
• Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
• Professional membership with a relevant industry body (e.g. AACE, RICS) is highly desirable
