AME Group is a Consulting and Research services provide that specializes in the Metals and Mining, and Coal and Consumable Fuels Industries.

With over 50 years of experience AME, provides bespoke consulting, subscription and software as a service products to clients globally.

We have a well-established office in Jakarta with approximately 30 staff, this office provides consulting services to Indonesian and south east Asian clients and is one of the group's key research hubs globally.

We are seeking an experienced research manager to provide operational management, quality assurance and quality controls to analysts’ research outputs.

• Accurate capture of asset and company level information from a variety of public and proprietary sources.
• Generating regular commodity market research papers
• Contributing to consulting engagements (for both Indonesian and international clients)
• Execution of market balance, pricing and demand forecasting models

You will work closely with global research product leads, chief technology officer and the group managing director to ensure that research output is of a high quality and suitable for AME’s needs.

A successful research manager will assure the quality of analyst research while providing feedback and development opportunities, to this end, the manager will be responsible for

• Overseeing the end to end production for data collection, modelling and report generation. Including prioritization, assignment, tracking and completion of analysts work.
• Work with software and data engineering team to develop dashboards and tracking tools.
• Check analysts deliverables against defined standards (defined by product owners) including confirming consistency with AME’s methodologies.
• Provide structured QA and spot checks to analysts’ work, provide meaningful feedback and manage rework where required
• Provide preventative guidance, such as identifying common mistakes and identifying opportunities for training, methodology or software improvements
• Work closely with product owners to establish and measure KPIs for analysts.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering , Economics, or Commerce.
• 10+ years experience in professional service (consulting, economics advisory, risk services etc.), financial advisory, major capital projects or equivalent roles.
• 5+ experience in a management or quality assurance role.
• Mining, Energy and/or Metals experiences highly desirable.
• Experience with finance or business development roles in asset intensive industries highly desirable.

• Strong hands‑on experience developing and delivering high quality, written advice to internal or external clients, preferably in corporate finance or government sector.
• Detail oriented, quantitative research skills.
• Strong knowledge of resources sector.
• Strong written and spoken English is essential.
