Role: Education Campaigns Manager

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + Company Car

Location: York

We are seeking an Education Campaigns Manager to join our marketing team at our Head Office in York.

The Education Campaigns Manager will drive growth in the education sector by creating and delivering focused campaign strategies that align with public sector objectives.

This is a specialist role within the team, aimed to increase our sector knowledge of education as a whole and to increase our customer focus ultimately to allow us to be more customer centric and more successful.

This role involves owning the performance of public sector SIC codes, supporting the Education Key Account Manager through targeted account-based marketing, and leveraging digital expertise to influence public sector audiences online.

With a strong understanding of the education sector, ideally from a background in education (i.e. schools, MAT, LEA) combined with marketing experience, the role also requires close collaboration with hire centres and commercial teams to achieve business objectives.

Gathering information from the sector, visiting education projects and delivering insight to the business is expected within this role, therefore some travel is required.

As an Education Campaigns Manager, you will:

1. Design and implement strategic marketing campaigns to drive awareness, lead generation, and conversion within the education sector, aligning with Portakabin overarching business objectives
2. Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for targeted campaigns
3. Work with the content team to deliver customer interviews, new case studies and more generally impactful targeted content.
4. Plan, coordinate, and manage integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, print, social media, events, and PR, tailored to the education sector
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with public sector stakeholders, including schools, local authorities, government agencies and internal colleagues within the education team
6. Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for all campaigns and regularly track performance to assess effectiveness, performing regular analysis and identifying successes, areas for improvement, and return on investment (ROI)
7. Develop and manage the campaigns budget, ensuring all activities are delivered within scope and financial constraints, prioritising spending where needed
8. Provide insights and support to enable effective follow-up on leads generated through campaigns.
9. Lead the creation of sector-specific thought leadership content, such as white papers, case studies, and blogs, to position Portakabin as a trusted advisor in the education sector
10. Organise and participate in education-focused events, trade shows, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility and generate leads

Our ideal candidate

We are looking for someone who has:

• Marketing experience, with commercial and contractual understanding and knowledge
• Awareness of how procurement decisions are made in the public sector, i.e. frameworks, the procurement act
• Extensive experience in Education, either working in education directly working in a school, MAT, Local Authority (etc) or working in an Education focused environment
• Previous experience of formulating strategies and concepts with the ability to understand newly presented information
• Recognised leadership skills, capable of making rational judgement and decisions through available data and analytics
• Excellent presenting skills, being able to build relationships with stakeholders
• A high level of organisation and planning
• IT Literate (Excel & Powerpoint)
• Full UK driving licence
