£12.50 per hour to £15.00 per hour, negotiable plus benefits.
Our client is a friendly, busy service engineering company based in Huntingdon. They are looking to grow their team and would like to give the opportunity to a trainee to grow and develop a new career as a Trainee Mechanical Fitter on a temporary to permanent basis.
The position of Trainee Mechanical Fitter will be site-based in Huntingdon, along with field-based work in and around the East Anglia area.
Main responsibilities for the Trainee Mechanical Fitter:
- All areas of mechanical assembly, servicing, fitting, breakdowns, and refurbishment.
- Use of hand tools and mechanical engineering diagrams.
- Understanding of pumps would be an advantage, alongside fabrication experience.
- Ability to work to job sheets and understand technical drawings.
Qualifications / Skills for the Trainee Mechanical Fitter:
- Ideally, you will have gone to college and studied Mechanical Engineering.
- Have an interest in Mechanical Engineering, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
- Used to various hand tools and enjoy taking things apart and rebuilding.
Hours of work for the Trainee Mechanical Fitter:
- Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 5.00 pm.
