We are looking for a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer for a permanent position in Brierley Hill. You will play a key part in ensuring the reliability of machinery, conducting inspections, troubleshooting faults, and maintaining pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

1. Salary: £39,000 - £40,000 per year (including shift allowance)
2. Hours: 37.5 per week (rotating weekly shifts - 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm)

Essential Requirements:

1. Experience as a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Engineer
2. Experience working in a heavy engineering environment
3. Solid experience with hydraulics or pneumatics
4. Any electrical skills are a bonus
5. Right to work in the UK
6. Fit and able to work in a physically demanding position

Key Responsibilities:

1. Maintain and repair mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance
2. Conduct inspections and diagnose faults in machinery and equipment
3. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
4. Repair or replace hydraulic and pneumatic components
5. Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints
6. Work closely with engineering teams to execute complex maintenance tasks
7. Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
8. Carry out welding and fabrication work when required
