About the Client:
A leading global hedge fund with around 100 employees in London.

About the Communications Associate role:
An opportunity for someone who is looking to build on existing PR/communications experience and progress their career in a stimulating and challenging environment. Reporting to the International Media Relations Director and working with a tight-knit global team, responsibilities will include:

• Media monitoring, including pulling together clips of news events, summarising information and providing succinct summaries of daily news.
• Supporting the team to respond to incoming media enquiries and handling requests from the media.
• Drafting press releases, briefing notes, editing copy and proofreading.
• Mapping out conference landscapes and identifying possible speaking opportunities.
• Preparation of presentations and supporting on creative projects.
• Building relationships both internally and externally - liaising with investment professionals and departments in addition to external vendors, PR agencies and creative partners.
• Administrative support to include scheduling events/meetings and calls, monitoring emails and building and maintaining journalist databases across geographies.
• Other duties as required.

Experience and Skills required:

• Prior communications experience from a financial PR agency or in-house environment is preferable. Candidates with corporate PR experience from other industries will be considered.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Degree-educated (or equivalent).
• Ability to manage a high-volume, creative, fast-paced workload and meet a variety of deadlines.
• Flexible and team-oriented attitude - "no task is too small".
• Strong relationship-builder; trustworthy, discreet and positive.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office - particularly Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Familiarity with social media and business information platforms e.g., Factiva would be ideal.
