SUMMARY: As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality parts and components. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring the success of our manufacturing operations. Machining employees ensure doors and jambs, and parts are built and machined properly to meet specifications found on production paperwork.

Highlights of the role:

1. Visually inspect jamb parts to ensure quality of product and notifies lead of unacceptable quality.
2. Properly sets up Jet 7000 machine for daily work flow by utilizing production paperwork.
3. Selects materials to be machined by prioritizing load dates and machining requirements.
4. Performs machine checks to verify proper machine set up.
5. Operates and maintains machinery by following specific direction as given by machining & jamb lead.
6. Readies all jamb parts per instructions on production paperwork.
7. Ensures all door parts are accounted for, are the correct wood specie and are manufactured to requirements found on production paperwork.
8. Utilizes machinery to prepare jambs for final jamb assembly.
9. Completes rework/remake tickets.
10. Other duties as assigned.

You are a good fit if you have:

1. HS Diploma or GED.
2. Exceptional communication, organizational, time management, ability to work in a team, and problem-solving skills, and a high attention to detail are a must.
3. Ability to recognize wood species.
4. Ability to recognize defects specific to wood species.
5. Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
6. Strong time management and attention to detail.
7. Ability to stay focused.
8. Knowledge of product line and quality standards of product line.
9. Ability to keep work area neat and clean.
10. Effectively utilize required equipment and materials to manufacture product.
11. Ability to correctly read a tape measure.
12. Strong mathematical ability.
13. Ability to stand for 10 hour days.
14. Lifting upwards of 35lbs to 50lbs.

Hours: Monday - Friday 6am to 4:30pm, Saturdays 6am to 2:30pm. Lots of overtime!!!

Pay rate: $23.81 to $25.00 an hour.
