The Position

As a part of the Chapter Infrastructure Reliability Engineering, the Certman Cybersecurity team (Rotkreuz / Sant Cugat) develops security services helping software projects implement security best practices: certificate management, code signing and encryption. All these services, known collectively as Certman, are available online, which means our team has to maintain an ever-growing network infrastructure, currently built on the .NET tool stack.

In this role, you'll help to maintain, automate and further develop Certman, in close collaboration with software engineers from the Cybersecurity team.

About the opportunity

We are looking for a Principal Software Engineer for the Cybersecurity Team. A Software engineer maintains, automates and further develops the components of Certman: certificate management, code signing and encryption. Within this context, multiple applications are hosted on virtual machines in the corporate intranet. Cloud hosting with AWS is also part of our environment. You will be involved in the development of this infrastructure as well.

As a member of the Cybersecurity Team:

1. Technical leadership of the team
2. Coaching of less senior team members
3. Setting and ensuring quality standards
4. Continuous improvements of existing services and products
5. Adoption of new and beneficial technologies mainly in AWS
6. Collaboration with Architect and Software Engineers on the system architecture
7. Initiative to improve maturity of the SW development process, such as delivery automation
8. Strong support of agile ceremonies and ways of working
9. Customer Support

About you

Education and experience:

1. University or technical college degree in IT engineering or equivalent in the STEM area
2. 5+ years of experience

Skills:

1. C#, .NET (Core & Framework)
2. Testing (MSTest, Moq, JMeter, Testcontainers)
3. Entity Framework
4. Experience with networking and web technologies (e.g. NAT, DNS, reverse proxies, web servers)
5. AWS (for example, EC2, EKS, Lambda) - setup and administration & IaC
6. Git source control handling based on GitLab
7. Delivery automation & build pipelines
8. Experience in Agile processes
9. Good communication and presentation skills
10. Good English skills, written and verbal
11. Experience in Windows Server administration is a plus
12. Experience in PKI setup and administration is a plus
