Investment Management is part of the Investment Controlling team at METRO AG and plays a key role in steering transparent and holistic investment processes for decision‑making by the Management Board and EVPs. This includes active stakeholder management, consolidating data for sound decisions on major investment projects, supporting all entities on investment‑related topics, and sharing best practices.

We are currently seeking an Expert Investment Management (m / f / d) to temporarily replace a colleague during maternity leave (January–December 2026).
Your responsibilities
- Steer investment approval processes for major projects, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and compliance. This includes gathering and evaluating data, setting clear timelines and deliverables, keeping stakeholders informed, and preparing final decision documents with recommendations.
- Actively manage stakeholders by serving as a central contact for investment topics, facilitating regular exchanges with corporate departments, and promoting best‑practice sharing. Ensure visibility of upcoming projects to align with strategic goals (e.g. Multichannel Network Transformation) and enable smooth co‑creation with sufficient lead time.
- Lead EU Taxonomy reporting to ensure legal compliance and integrate it efficiently into internal processes. Tasks include data collection and validation, preparing documentation for external communication and auditors, and regular coordination with the ESG team.
- Drive process improvements by leveraging digital solutions and promoting standardization to increase efficiency.

Qualifications
- Education : University degree with a focus on Project Management, Controlling or a related field.
- Expertise : At least +3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Digital skills : Advanced skills in Microsoft 365; experience with SAP BW is a plus.
- Language skills : Fluent in English (spoken and written); German is an asset.
- Attitude : Proactive and engaging working style with strong communication skills and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments as well as excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and maintain oversight in complex projects while you work independently, are resilient, and confident.
