Your mission

The Human Resources Manager at KAYA Climate Solutions GmbH will be responsible for staff and resource management. Being part of a Berlin-based organization, this role requires expertise in human resource topics within the German context. The ideal candidate should be agile, methodical, results-driven, and empathetic to develop cohesive teams and growth paths for individuals. Reporting to the CEO, they will collaborate closely with the Heads of Finance, Legal, and HR in KAYA Germany and KAYA Angola. The position is to be filled immediately, with a tenure of one year and the possibility of extension.

Your Responsibilities

1. Lead recruitment and onboarding processes
2. Manage immigration, work travel, and HR-related insurance procedures
3. Oversee leave, sabbatical, office, events, and other HR activities
4. Coordinate learning and development programs for employees and the organization in collaboration with the leadership team
5. Manage employee reviews and appraisal processes in partnership with leadership
6. Assist the CEO with executive tasks
7. Oversee physical and digital knowledge and information management within the organization
8. Prepare and facilitate organizational meetings, such as bi-weekly meetings, including agenda setting and readiness of departments and presentations
9. Foster dialogue and exchange between the Head Office and HR teams in Project Country Offices

Your Profile

1. Over three years of experience leading HR processes with a strong sense of purpose
2. In-depth knowledge of German labor laws
3. Experience with HR Information Systems like Personio is desirable
4. Willingness to live and work in Berlin
5. Commitment to a full-time (40 hours) role
6. Willingness to work in a hybrid model with three days in the office per week
7. Willingness to travel internationally, especially to sub-Saharan Africa
8. Ability to provide work samples and references from previous employers
9. Fluency in English and German; knowledge of Portuguese is a plus
10. Additional HR-specific training or education is advantageous
