Position purpose: Works closely with clients and various levels of management, providing business expertise to define business and data specifications and processes, optimizing system functions to deliver an exceptional student experience while meeting the objectives of the Student Information System (SIS). Ensures strategic leadership for optimizing all processes related to graduation.
Responsibilities:
- Operational Services: Works within a team to ensure delivery of essential academic support services, resolving complex support requests from clients across the university.
- Technical Support and Consulting: Provides expert-level support and consulting services to clients and stakeholders.
- Business Analysis: Proactively evaluates clients’ business and operational requirements, investigating improvements and developing new solutions.
- Process Analysis and Design: Leads process re-design initiatives for optimization and standardization of configurations.
- Impact Assessment: Anticipates risks and issues in plans and requirements, collaborating with IT professionals for resolution.
- Documentation: Develops business documentation for new projects and maintains standardized operational documentation.
- Testing: Designs test plans and leads testing of end-user scenarios.
- Data Integrity: Participates in data integrity analysis and develops data management strategies.
- Systems Assessments and Improvement: Reviews system capabilities and workflows to enhance client needs and student experience.
- Human Resources Management: Recruits, selects, trains, and evaluates employees.
- Logistics Planning: Handles planning and implementation activities for convocation.
- External Providers negotiations: Assists with negotiations with external providers.
What you will bring:
- University Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting business units and their IT needs.
- Minimum of 2 years in project and event management.
- Thorough knowledge of business processes used by the University.
- Experience in human resources management and team supervision.
- Bilingualism - French and English (written and spoken).
