Job Description:

Reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, the incumbent is responsible for translating marketing objectives into strategies and tactics to communicate the Campus Services message to the Algonquin College community.

The incumbent will uncover consumer insights and deliver innovative marketing campaigns; generate strategies that support growth and improve customer experience.

The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and executing all marketing activities and initiatives within the Campus Services area, to support the Annual Campus Services marketing plan and overall Campus Services business plan. This includes development and execution of marketing projects and initiatives.

With a strong understanding of Campus Services strategic marketing objectives, the marketing coordinator oversees the development and execution of the annual marketing calendar, including a variety of print and digital marketing deliverables, including website management, events, email campaigns, social media, signage, and other marketing materials, ensuring budget and deadlines are met.

The incumbent must develop and maintain strong relationships with Campus Services and with College partners. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and representing Campus Services at a wide variety of College events including Residence Move-In, Open House, Convocation, AC Start, AC Day 1, and other recruitment and student engagement events.

The incumbent will be required to work evenings and weekends occasionally.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a two (2) year diploma or equivalent in a relevant field such as Communications, Marketing, Business Administration;
  • Minimum of three (3) years marketing experience ideally in a post-secondary setting or marketing to a similar demographic;
  • Experience working in team environments with a demonstrated ability to build strong relationships/partnerships;
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience with current marketing approaches, tools and best practices, with emphasis on digital, including websites, social media and email marketing;
  • Experience in developing content for and monitoring social media sites and in preparing multimedia presentations;
  • Demonstrated budget management and event management expertise;
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and simultaneously co-ordinate a variety of activities;
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
  • Advanced proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Proven ability to prioritize activities within a cross-departmental team environment;
  • Self-motivated with a strong attention to detail;
  • Graphic design and videography experience an asset;
