We're looking for a Senior Android Developer to help scale Clara’s Android experience and shape the future of financial software in Latin America. You’ll be a technical expert on the Mobile Engineering – Android team, setting best practices, delivering high-impact features, and mentoring fellow developers. You’ll collaborate closely with product, design, and backend teams to deliver fast, secure, and delightful mobile experiences.

In this role, you will:

• Drive Clara’s Android technical roadmap in collaboration with Engineering leadership.
• Architect modular, reusable components using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and modern Android libraries.
• Lead development initiatives of new product features while improving app reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Promote and uphold high engineering standards through code reviews and mentorship.
• Contribute to hiring and onboarding as we scale the Android team.
• Advocate for a product-driven, quality-focused mobile engineering culture.

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

• 7+ years of professional Android development experience, including 2+ years in a senior or technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise with Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Android architectural patterns (e.g., MVVM, Clean Architecture).
• Experience with dependency injection frameworks like Hilt or Dagger.
• Familiarity with performance tuning, crash reporting, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Working proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Strong communication skills and a track record of mentoring or coaching engineers.

• Experience working in a fintech or other highly regulated industry.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, A/B testing frameworks, and analytics integration in Android apps.
• Interest in leveraging AI tools to automate development workflows.
• Basic proficiency in Spanish or interest in learning.
