AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Finance Project Manager in Dubai, UAE.
Finance Project Manager role supporting NEOM THE LINE (NTL) Project Team in various project related reporting and monitoring activities. The role reports directly to the NEOM Senior Finance Business Partner but works closely with the NTL Operations and Commercial Director. The role will include working with the project delivery team in delivering a high quality and effective project financial performance reporting, project data support, cash flow management, forecasting / budgeting, and project value add initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Support the Project Team in preparing data / reports required by the client (project progress reporting, headcount, any other requests).
- Support the Ops and Commercial Director in managing financial impacts of the Client's Personnel.
- Approval Form process ("PAF") deployments, any contract amendment requirement.
- Oversees the end-to-end processes that involve the timesheet to billing to collection process.
- Pre-approval of costs / subcon management / internal trading to payment.
- Support delivering project performance dashboards and periodic reporting to various Stakeholders.
- Support developing registers and database for commercial and financial purposes.
- Cross functional collaboration with HR / Recruitment to ensure quick and smooth PAF process.
- Work closely with Senior Finance Business Partner in preparing the Budgets, Forecasts and Long Range Plans for THE LINE in coordination with the Project Director of THE LINE.
- Flag risks and issues that may impact project KPIs.
- Prepare THE LINE risk registers.
- Act as primary point of contact for the questions of the NEOM Commercial team on invoicing and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate with other parts of the business (UK, APAC, etc) for project delivery requirements like internal trading arrangements and others as maybe required.
- Support the project team with ad-hoc initiatives and robust analyses to ensure results are well understood by key stakeholders.
- Help in driving business operational improvement project and in setting up a strong control environment and promote good financial practices.
- Setup controls within the team to ensure compliance to business Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and use of best accounting practices.
- Coordinate with the Tax team to ensure PE risk compliance of the project.
- Lead the Local Content Monitoring for THE LINE.
- Liaise with external and internal auditor for periodic requirements.
- Ensure policy compliance in all project aspects.
- Support the Senior Finance Business Partner in providing THE LINE inputs in corporate reporting requirements.
- Assist and work with HR in resource planning reports.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Fully Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA / CPA or other recognised Accounting qualification.
- Ability to lead a team and delegate tasks effectively.
- Strategic and high standard of analytical / presentation skills.
- Proven ability to develop strong working relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.
- Minimum of 10 years experience within a business support Finance role.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel (knowledge of Data Modelling, PowerPivot and PowerBI tools is an advantage). Working knowledge of other Microsoft Office tools.
- Complete understanding of a project lifecycle and the different measures of financial performance.
- Excellent communication in English (both written and oral).
- Experience of interacting with multiple businesses and finance functions.
- Experience of working within a multi-cultural environment.
- Prior experience working within an Engineering Consultancy business or Project Management.
- Has prepared project related financial reports and reconciliations relating to project expenses, billing, debt, provisions, and utilisation.
- Exposure to preparing statutory returns and financial statements.
- Working knowledge of JD Edwards, Hyperion Finance Management (HFM), Smart View and other IT systems and databases.
