Finance Manager - Digital Assets / Crypto, Fully remote working

This is a Finance Manager position in a licensed and regulated crypto-assets trading platform.

For this position, you must have experience working with VARA.

The role involves overseeing financial operations and ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory bodies, particularly those governing virtual asset businesses. The Finance Manager will be responsible for financial reporting, internal controls, and audit management, ensuring alignment with evolving regulatory standards. This position works closely with senior management to enhance financial processes and maintain robust financial systems, ensuring efficient and compliant operations in the fast-evolving crypto brokerage industry.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, manage reporting obligations, and collaborate with auditors and regulators.
• Financial Controls & Risk Management: Implement strong internal financial controls to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
• Audit & Governance: Lead internal and external audits, ensuring financial records are transparent, accurate, and meet regulatory expectations.
• Accounting & Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and audit reports in compliance with IFRS and relevant regulations.
• Treasury & Liquidity Management: Monitor liquidity for both crypto and fiat assets, ensuring efficient capital management and regulatory compliance.
• Tax & Compliance Coordination: Work with tax advisers, legal teams, and compliance officers to manage financial obligations under the applicable framework for crypto assets.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in financial management, audit, or regulatory compliance, preferably in crypto, fintech, or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of virtual asset regulations and compliance frameworks.
• Background in financial audits, regulatory reporting, or risk management within highly regulated environments.
• ACA, ACCA, or other relevant finance/audit certifications are preferred.

Skills:

• Proficiency in IFRS accounting standards and financial reporting.
• Experience working with external auditors, regulators, and compliance teams.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to operate in a fast-moving regulatory landscape.
