This permanent role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to both local and international projects and operations, requiring global travel to provide hands-on support across our sites.

As the Senior Manager Safety, you will:

1. Lead the development and deployment of consistent safety management systems and tools across Gold Fields, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational needs.
2. Support the Vice President Safety in driving the successful execution of the safety improvement plan through collaborative leadership and strategic oversight.
3. Collaborate with teams across the group to integrate safety standards into all operational activities.
4. Establish a unified induction and onboarding process for all employees and business partners.
5. Assist with the design and implementation of a comprehensive system for managing the safety performance of business partners.
6. Lead change management initiatives addressing technical, cultural, and social aspects within the company.
7. Standardise incident reporting and learning processes, ensuring effective action management and assurance.
8. Consolidate safety reporting into a single platform, enhancing predictive safety analytics.
9. Deliver programs to enhance safety culture, focusing on leadership, supervision, and operational excellence.
10. Develop and manage talent within the safety discipline, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and knowledge.

1. Relevant qualifications in safety.
2. Extensive industry experience, with international exposure being highly regarded.
3. Recent experience in safety management within the resources sector.
4. Proven track record in collaborating with multifunctional management teams.
5. Experience in developing and executing strategic plans and leading change initiatives.
