The Role
As a Head of E-Commerce you will:
- Oversee and optimize e-commerce operations and ROI across key platforms, including Shopee, TikTok, XHS (Xiaohongshu), B2B channels, and emerging marketplaces within Asia.
- Develop and execute targeted sales and marketing strategies, including live-selling initiatives, to maximize revenue and achieve sales targets.
- Analyze and leverage data-driven insights to refine pricing, promotions, and conversion optimization strategies.
- Identify new market opportunities and adapt e-commerce strategies to meet evolving consumer trends.
- Enhance the online shopping experience by improving UI/UX design and site functionality across e-commerce platforms.
- Ensure an intuitive and engaging interface, reducing friction points that impact conversion rates.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to improve navigation, checkout flow, and mobile responsiveness.
- Analyze customer behavior and heatmaps, implementing UI/UX improvements based on user feedback and data insights.
- Maintain a visually appealing and brand-aligned online store layout for enhanced customer engagement.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with e-commerce platforms, distributors, and B2B stakeholders.
- Analyze channel performance, recommending data-driven strategies that align with business objectives.
- Develop tailored B2B sales initiatives to expand product reach and strengthen business relationships.
- Manage end-to-end e-commerce and B2B channel operations, including sales performance, pricing, content accuracy, order fulfillment, and after-sales service.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance business efficiency, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Ensure seamless coordination between logistics, inventory management, and order processing teams to optimize fulfillment and reduce cancellations.
- Establish and enforce e-commerce SOPs to maintain consistency and efficiency in platform operations.
- Utilize market psychology and design aesthetics to enhance branding, content, and product presentation across e-commerce platforms.
- Develop platform-specific content strategies, including SEO optimization, visual storytelling, and compelling product descriptions.
- Lead promotional campaigns, collaborating with internal marketing teams to maximize customer engagement.
- Monitor and improve digital touchpoints, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms.
- Evaluate promotion effectiveness and key metrics, including conversion rates, traffic, order cancellations, and customer engagement rates.
- Track and optimize ROI on marketing spend, ensuring cost-effective advertising and promotional activities.
- Stay updated on market trends and competitor activities, providing actionable insights to shape future e-commerce strategies.
- Report key performance metrics and propose data-driven recommendations for ongoing business growth.
- Ensure accurate and optimized product listings, including high-quality images, compelling descriptions, and keyword-rich content across all SKUs and campaigns.
- Work closely with supply chain and merchandising teams to ensure product availability aligns with demand trends.
- Manage product lifecycle strategies, optimizing SKU performance through pricing adjustments, bundling, and promotional tactics.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate should possess the following skills and experience:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in e-commerce management, digital marketing, or online business development, preferably in the herbal, health, or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of scaling e-commerce revenue and optimizing marketplace performance.
- Strong strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Experience in UI/UX optimization, site performance enhancement, and digital consumer journey improvements.
- Experience in managing multi-platform e-commerce operations, including Shopee, TikTok, XHS, and B2B marketplaces.
- Expertise in digital marketing strategies, including SEO, paid advertising, and social commerce.
- Strong negotiation and partnership management skills to drive B2B growth and collaborations.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, logistics, and customer service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Google Analytics, and e-commerce analytics tools.
- Mandarin-speaking candidates preferred due to platform operations and B2B partnership requirements.
