Time 4 Recruitment have a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Contracts Manager to work for a successful and growing design and build contractor in Cardiff. My client specialises in new build residential, renovations and housing association projects across South Wales.
As Contracts Manager, you will be based in Cardiff and manage sites across the South Wales region. You will be working on varying sites, each with their own challenges and often incorporating bespoke builds.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in managing build contracts, ideally specific experience dealing with Housing Associations. It is vital to be good with people to build strong relationships with clients to win long-term contracts.
As Contracts Manager, you will have worked in a similar role or as a Project Manager where you have been managing multi-site environments, led large teams of trade people, and produced high-quality residential schemes. You will be involved in programming, establishing a timeline which will guarantee a production rate in line with forecast and budget as well as available trades.
You will be expected to carry out critical checks across projects with site managers regularly to ensure setting out drawings, road positions, and each dwelling is accurately transferred from concept through to construction and completion. You will manage the budgets, build quality, and Health and Safety across the schemes, working closely with the wider team to ensure complete compliance and acting as the escalation point for any issues arising from Site Managers.
Benefits of the role:
As Contracts Manager, you will be rewarded with a salary of £60 - 65K per annum plus a car (depending on experience for the right person). This is a permanent role to start ASAP!
Your time will be split between the Cardiff office and on site as required. The main location of this role will be at the head office in Cardiff.
