We are partnering with a globally respected manufacturing leader to recruit a talented Technical Author for their Stroud-based team. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a pioneering organisation working to the highest standards.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with engineers and production teams to develop critical documentation for cutting-edge units and electronics assemblies. Your work will directly support product lifecycle management and uphold the company's reputation for precision and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop assembly guides, test procedures, and SOPs in collaboration with engineering and production teams.
2. Maintain and refine quality management documentation to meet industry standards.
3. Implement version control systems and manage a centralized document repository.
4. Produce clear, visually engaging technical content (print, digital, and multimedia).
5. Streamline processes by creating modular, reusable documentation templates.
6. Translate complex technical information into user-friendly guides for diverse audiences.

Essential Skills & Experience:

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Adobe FrameMaker (or similar authoring tools).
2. Expertise in Corel Draw & Photo-Paint (or equivalent graphic design software).
3. Experience using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) for technical illustrations.
4. Proven background in engineering/manufacturing environments.
5. Strong ability to collaborate with technical teams and extract detailed information.

Desirable Attributes:

3. Proactive problem-solving skills and ownership of deliverables.
4. Experience with MRP systems (advantageous but not essential).
