About the Role
Due to increased workload, our client is expanding their design team and looking for an enthusiastic Graduate 3D Designer to join them. This is a newly created role within their growing team and offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about exhibition design. The role will be based in the Manchester office, Monday to Friday, reporting directly to the Lead Designer.
In this role, you will:
- Create and develop 3D designs for exhibition stands and retail environments.
- Work on projects from concept through to execution, interpreting client briefs and providing creative solutions.
- Use SketchUp as the primary software, along with Adobe Illustrator and basic CAD tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production and sales, to ensure designs meet client requirements, budget, and feasibility.
- Support the team with the creation of technical drawings for production purposes.
- Attend exhibitions and events to research trends, materials, and innovations.
- Manage workload effectively to meet project deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Contribute to post-show debriefs to improve processes and maintain excellence.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will:
- Have a passion for exhibition and event design, with a keen eye for detail.
- Be proficient in SketchUp (desirable) with a basic understanding of CAD software and Adobe Illustrator.
- Have a degree in Design for Exhibitions, Interior Design, Product Design, or a related field (but not essential).
- Be open to entry-level applicants and recent graduates with relevant coursework or experience.
- Be willing to learn and adapt, particularly if coming from a graphics-focused background.
- Possess strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to design challenges.
- Be a team player with good communication skills, capable of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
