THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you looking to work on a variety of interesting projects within a world-renowned and highly respected engineering business? Are you a CNC Turner with medium to heavy experience, looking to advance your skillset? Well, read on!

My client is at the forefront of engineering and responsible for delivering high-specification items to the oil & gas, nuclear, and energy projects. Due to continued business growth, they are looking to strengthen their manufacturing team with experienced CNC Turners.

The CNC Turners will be based at their manufacturing plant in Manchester. The role is to safely set and operate CNC machinery producing high standard machined components to the correct tolerances.

SHIFT PATTERN

Week 1 - Monday to Friday (06:00 - 14:00).

Week 2 - Monday to Thursday (13:45 - 22:15) & Friday is 13:00 - 18:30.

YOUR ROLE

The CNC Turners will:

1. Understand and follow basic engineering diagrams and drawings.
2. Assist and set up machines ensuring best machining practices are adopted and followed.
3. Safely load and unload machine components on and off machines.
4. Machine products to conform to correct drawing tolerances.
5. Must be able to work rotating shift patterns.
6. Able to work on more than one machine at a time.
7. Carry out regular machine maintenance as required.
8. Maintain a high standard of housekeeping on and around machinery operated.
9. Continually monitor machining operations.
10. Ensure manufacturing times are achieved.
11. Check finished workpieces to ensure that they meet the required quality standards.

ABOUT YOU

The CNC Turners will be:

1. Experienced apprentice trained CNC Machinist.
2. Previously worked in medium to heavy engineering.
3. Good problem-solving skills.
4. Good communicator.
5. Able to work as part of a TEAM.
6. Health & Safety experience in a machine shop environment.
