An exciting opportunity for a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join Bwthyn Y Ddol; a multi-agency team working in Conwy and Denbighshire. This is an innovative, one-of-a-kind service with integration at its core. By bringing Social Care and CAMHS together in practice, we believe we can achieve more for children and young people.
You will contribute to the development and leadership of a joint agency team set up to provide responsive, intensive support to children (6 - 17 yrs) who are on the edge of care. You will be part of a team of experienced professionals working into a purpose-built residential assessment centre, as well as with families in the community. You will draw on your expertise of multiple psychological models in contributing to intensive and robust assessment, formulation and direct therapeutic support to a small caseload. Consultation with families and colleagues, training and clinical supervision will form a large part of this role, liaising closely with colleagues in local services, and there will be protected time for service development and evaluation. This post will play a key role in the strategic leadership of our other CAMHS/Local Authority projects.
We believe this is an opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of some of the most disadvantaged children and young people in our area. The post holder will join the Child Clinical Psychology community within BCUHB, with close links to the North Wales Clinical Psychology Programme.
