0.5 WTE Band 8a Clinical Psychologist
Learning Disability Service
Applications are invited from clinical psychologists who are interested in working within a committed, dynamic and patient-centred learning disability psychology service. The postholder will provide a highly specialist clinical psychology service to adults with a learning disability for the post of permanent 0.5 WTE Clinical Psychologist working across multidisciplinary teams within Grampian. This will also involve supporting and developing teaching packages and pathways, as well as service evaluation and development of psychological therapy services for people with a learning disability.
There are 6 other qualified staff working across Grampian within the community learning disability teams. There are close links with the D Clin Psych/ Edinburgh University and the service routinely provides core and specialist placements for trainees completing this course. The service has an active CPD programme, supports practitioners’ clinical and research interests and there are opportunities for individual and group supervision.
Applications are invited from trainee clinical psychologists due to complete training within the next 12 months.
