About

Job Title: Sales Manager/Sales Director
Location: Home-Based / Hybrid (Liphook HQ)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 basic + Car Allowance + Performance-Related Bonus

Are you an experienced sales professional with a strong background in technical sales? We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Manager/Sales Director to lead business development efforts in the education and industrial sectors. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established machine tool supplier and play a crucial role in expanding our customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Generate and develop new and existing business within the education and industrial sectors.
  2. Achieve or exceed sales targets set by the board.
  3. Deliver gross profit objectives as set by the Managing Director.
  4. Work closely with the MD & marketing team to create and execute a business development plan.
  5. Provide sales forecasts and reports as required by the business.
  6. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients.
  7. Provide customers with technical and commercial information.
  8. Maintain up-to-date industry and product knowledge.

Requirements & Skills

  1. Proven experience in technical sales, ideally in engineering or machine tool sales.
  2. Strong background selling into education and industrial sectors (schools, colleges, universities, and industrial clients).
  3. Knowledge of machine tools, milling machines, and lathes is an advantage.
  4. Ability to develop and execute a business development plan independently.
  5. Strong analytical skills and ability to generate new sales leads.
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  7. Strong problem-solving aptitude and interpersonal skills.
  8. Meticulous attention to detail and computer literacy.
  9. Self-motivated, highly driven, and able to work without supervision.
