Job summary
An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Functional Skills Maths Tutor to provide flexible, part-time tuition in a supportive environment. Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of teaching experience in Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
- Experience working with SEN students is essential.

Job description
Job Title: Functional Skills Maths Tutor
Location: Islington, London
Contract Type: Temporary, Flexible, Part-Time
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: 25-30 per hour.
- Deliver engaging and structured tuition in Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
- Adapt teaching methods to support students with SEN needs, ensuring lessons are accessible and effective.
- Develop individualised learning plans to address specific learning gaps.
- Monitor student progress and provide regular, constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment to help students reach their full potential.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
- Experience working with SEN students.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Must have, or be willing to undertake, an Enhanced DBS check.
- PGCE in Maths or English and/or QTS status.
- Strong communication skills and an adaptable approach to teaching.
