Job description

1st Staff Limited are one of the leading alternative providers working nationwide with hubs and specialist staff helping students from 4-25 years of age with both education and therapeutic needs.

The Role

1st Staff requires a tutor who is able to teach the core GCSE subjects (Maths, English, Science) to students who are not able to attend mainstream education in the Southwark area. You will be required to deliver tuition sessions to help these students gain the confidence and attainment levels required in order to gain the qualifications needed to get them to return to further education.

Position Details

  1. Location: In the Student's homes or community centre
  2. Position: 1:1 Tutor
  3. Hours: 3 Hours a day, 5 days a week (During school hours, flexible on start times, more hours available)
  4. Start date: ASAP
  5. Subjects: Maths and English

Experience Required:

  1. Have a good knowledge level of Maths and English
  2. Able to plan and deliver lessons

Benefits will include:

  1. Excellent pay rates (GBP 15-GBP 30 per hour)
  2. Flexible working hours
  3. Part-time or full-time work available (part-time: 10-15 hours; full-time: 20-30 hours)
  4. Long-term and short-term contracts available
  5. Students within close proximity to each other
  6. Having your own transport or ability to travel wouldn't be necessary but would be beneficial.
