Job description

We are looking for an experienced Change Manager to lead and manage the organizational change for key risk, regulatory, and legislative projects, specifically focusing on several new APRA initiatives. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with the chance to work on high-priority projects in the financial services sector.

As a Change Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving transformation across multiple initiatives, working closely with senior stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes. You will be responsible for developing and executing change strategies that ensure smooth adoption and minimize disruption to the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Change Leadership: Lead the change management process for several APRA-driven initiatives within the organization, ensuring seamless implementation and stakeholder alignment.
  2. Strategic Planning: Design and implement detailed change strategies, including communication plans, training programs, and adoption frameworks to support new regulatory and legislative changes.
  3. Stakeholder Management: Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including C-suite executives, senior leaders, and project teams, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the process.
  4. Presentations & Reporting: Regularly present change strategies, progress, and results to senior leadership and C-suite executives, ensuring buy-in and strong leadership support for change initiatives.
  5. Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify potential risks or resistance to change and develop mitigation strategies to address them, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and business operations.
  6. Documentation & Reporting: Write and maintain comprehensive documentation for all change management processes, including impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and post-implementation reviews.

Key Requirements:

  1. Experience: Proven experience in driving organizational change within risk, regulatory, or legislative projects, with a specific focus on financial services.
  2. APRA Knowledge: Familiarity with APRA regulations and initiatives is highly desirable.
  3. C-suite Engagement: Strong experience presenting and engaging with C-suite executives and senior leaders to secure support and drive change.
  4. Communication Skills: Polished, sharp communicator with the ability to tailor messaging for different audiences, ensuring clarity and alignment across all levels of the organization.
  5. Change Management Expertise: Solid background in change management methodologies and frameworks, with the ability to adapt strategies to different types of organizational changes.
  6. Financial Services Industry: A background in financial services is strongly preferred, with an understanding of industry-specific challenges and regulatory requirements.
