Job description

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Change Management team at Marsh. This role will be based in London. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

Marsh have been steadily strengthening their long term and dedicated change management capability, and this is an exciting time and opportunity for a driven change professional to join a growing and respected team.

The role of the Change Manager is to proactively support the business to prepare for, deliver and adopt a wide variety of change activity and initiatives, with a focus on the human behaviour and the people impact of change. The role provides an important bridge across multiple business areas, acting as a partner to the business. This includes the creation and implementation of change management plans that maximise business buy-in and employee adoption, minimising resistance to achieve sustained outcomes.

We will count on you to:

  1. Partner with business leaders as a Change subject matter expert and trusted advisor.
  2. Lead and run change activities, partnering with Business Leaders, Programme and Project managers, integrating change management activities into the overall programme objectives and delivery plans.
  3. Understand the impact of changes; identify & manage change risks & issues and anticipate points of resistance. Mitigate or address the concerns, escalating issues in a timely manner.
  4. Develop specific change plans, based on a situational awareness of the details of the change and the groups being impacted by the change, including communication plan, stakeholder analysis, communications and training plans.
  5. Conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner.
  6. Define and measure success metrics and monitor change progress with a particular focus on adoption.
  7. Influence business leaders and key stakeholders to help them think about change from a people-focused perspective, and how they can embed effective change management approaches into their own strategies, objectives, plans and deliverables.
  8. Work with business stakeholders and change champions/agents to prepare affected business areas and colleagues for transition to new ways of working, including leading and delivering workshops as required.

What you need to have:

  1. Change management experience within a large complex organisation, including experience of working with and across multiple functions and business areas.
  2. A solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process.
  3. Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  4. Flexible and adaptable.
  5. Professional training and certification, such as APMG or Prosci.
  6. Familiarity with project / programme management approaches, processes and lifecycles.
  7. Strong people, relationship and stakeholder management skills.
  8. Comfortable with providing advice and constructive challenge to Stakeholders / Project Teams.
  9. A solid understanding of how different people, personalities and organisational cultures approach and adopt change.
  10. Exceptional communication and presentation skills – both written and verbal (individuals and groups).
