Our client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy, based near Dartford, are actively seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team due to growth. In this position the successful individual will work closely with Directors and their Seniors on all aspects of contracts in order to ensure that all objectives are met financially and commercially.
This role will be an office-based role with site visits as required.
This role will have different duties from Estimating, General Assisting, Forecasting & Budgeting and Commercial. Please see some selected duties below:
- Payment tracking.
- Creating & reviewing supply chain tenders/quotations.
- Identifying best value quotes to the project.
- Liaising with the Design & Operational Managers with the construction process.
- Cost reconciliations.
- Liaising with the Sub-Contractors on payment assessments and notification.
- Preparing return tender invitations for presentation to client.
- Maintaining records of tenders submitted and their progress.
- Preparing builders BoQ and take-off.
- To provide general assistance as identified to the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Director.
- Prior experience within a similar position
- A professional qualification / degree in Quantity Surveying
- Full Driving License
- Ambition to progress and develop
- Salary: £30k - £45k - This will be dependent on experience
