JPD also has plans to diversify the portfolio to include projects in other major centers across Canada.

Your new role

This Property Manager will be responsible for managing 10 commercial properties across Vancouver Island. The role involves overseeing daily building and site operations, including staff management, property inspections, and timely maintenance. It requires fostering strong relationships with tenants, vendors, and contractors while addressing tenant needs professionally. Responsibilities include:

1. Enforcing operational policies.
2. Managing tenant transitions.
3. Ensuring compliance with contracts and budgets.
4. Authorizing expenditures and negotiating vendor agreements.
5. Supporting rent collection and monitoring utilities.
6. Updating tenant insurance and supervising operations.
7. Implementing security measures and providing emergency response as needed.

What you need to succeed

This role requires a minimum of three years of experience in commercial property management, along with exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization abilities to handle multiple competing tasks. Candidates must demonstrate business professionalism and the capacity to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to effectively engage with tenants, vendors, and staff. Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel, is required, as is a valid driver’s license.
