McMaster University invites applications for the prestigious Canada Excellence Research Chairs (CERC) program from exceptional Health Science researchers worldwide. The CERC program provides significant funding of either $1 million per year or $500,000 per year for eight years, supporting innovative research that contributes to Canada’s global research leadership. This opportunity is open to outstanding researchers who meet the following eligibility requirements:

• Candidates must not currently hold a faculty appointment at McMaster University.
• Applicants must be eligible for appointment as a full professor or as an associate professor with the expectation of promotion to full professor within one to two years.
• Canadian-based researchers may apply; however, they must demonstrate a net benefit to Canada if transitioning to McMaster.
• The selected candidate will be required to relocate to Canada if currently based internationally.
