Talent Acquisition
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Lead the recruitment and selection process to attract top-tier talent.
2. Develop and implement effective onboarding programs for new employees.
3. Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and create workforce plans.

Employee Relations

1. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through effective communication and conflict resolution.
2. Conduct investigations and address employee relations issues in a timely and fair manner.
3. Implement employee engagement initiatives to enhance overall job satisfaction.

Performance Management

1. Develop and implement performance appraisal processes.
2. Provide guidance and support to managers on performance improvement plans.
3. Identify training and development opportunities to enhance employee performance.

Training And Development

1. Identify training needs and coordinate the development and delivery of training programs.
2. Implement career development initiatives to support employee growth.
3. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.

Compliance

1. Ensure compliance with local, provincial, and federal employment laws and regulations.
2. Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
3. Conduct regular audits to ensure data accuracy and adherence to policies.

Team Management

1. Identify, develop, and mentor the team.
2. Line management of department staff, including:
1. Setting objectives and work plans.
2. Managing workload and performance through regular one-to-one line management discussions.
3. Plan and implement personal development program for team members in all relevant skills.
4. Undertake annual performance reviews.

Qualifications & Competencies

1. At least a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources Management or related Human Resources field required. Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent post-graduate certifications in Human Resources field preferred.
2. CHRP designation (or candidate) is an asset.
3. A minimum of 2-3 years related experience in Human Resources/Organizational Development, preferably in the NGO/Charity industry.
4. Sound up-to-date knowledge of, and ability to apply, Canadian employment legislation, case law, and good practice.
5. Experienced in drafting HR policies, procedures, and guidelines aligned to business objectives.
6. Experience of giving professional advice and coaching managers on a wide range of HR issues.
7. Knowledge of Workday is an asset.
8. Must have strong management skills; includes staff in planning, decision-making, facilitating and process improvement; makes self-available to staff; provides regular performance feedback; and develops subordinates’ skills and encourages growth.
9. Should have strong time management skills through prioritizing and planning work activities, using time efficiently, and developing realistic action plans.
10. Excellent interpersonal skills and a high standard of written and oral communication skills.
11. Should be able to inspire and motivate others to perform well and welcome feedback from peers.
12. Must be eligible to work in Canada.

Starting Salary
$75,000.00
