Cooke is seeking an experienced Marine Operations Manager for their Atlantic Canadian and Maine operations who would be directly responsible for seawater farming, managing 100+ employees, and overseeing numerous marine sites. This key hire should also be an excellent people manager, technically savvy, and a relationship builder. International candidates are welcome to apply.

1. Leadership and direction of seawater salmon farming operations
2. Managing the annual operating budget and communication of various business needs
3. Support to the harvest plan
4. Maintaining high-level leadership on environmental and regulatory affairs
5. Develop and maintain an ongoing operational plan
6. Support corporate fish health strategy
7. Provide leadership and direction to the maintenance requirements of the operations
8. Oversight of key biological performance indicators
9. Providing industry leadership, as required
10. Creating solid operational and capex plans
11. Leveraging knowledge within other departments to address operational needs

1. 10+ years of fish farming experience
2. Deep understanding of fish farming business dynamics
3. Excellent people management skills
4. Experience interacting with government regulators and environmental monitoring
5. Basic understanding of industry certification schemes
6. Creating a solid business plan
7. College degree preferred with a focus in Aquaculture or Fish Biology
8. Understanding of existing and new industry technologies
