Ventures Analyst – Energy Plug And Play

We’re an exceptional team with backgrounds in technology and entrepreneurship and we’re growing rapidly to deliver on our mission. We’re actively seeking a Ventures Analyst reporting to the Brazil Ventures team to champion the Plug and Play business model and drive portfolio growth.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:

Sourcing New Startups

1. Source startups for the respective vertical program.
2. Attend calls or meetings with relevant companies.
3. Build and maintain strong relationships with local VCs, universities, corporations, etc.
4. Actively network with startup founders at industry events and conferences.
5. Schedule and facilitate deal flow meetings between startups and corporate partners.
6. Curate startup lists for corporate partners based on their technology interests.
7. Maintain relationships with industry partners.

Working closely to support Investment Partners on the full lifecycle of making investments: conducting diligence, making investment recommendations, and helping the portfolio.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Energy or Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related fields.
2. Master’s or postgraduate degree in Energy, Environmental Sciences, or related areas is a plus.
3. Exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with C-Suite executives and VC Partners; adept at public speaking.
4. Advanced proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in Portuguese and English.
5. Knowledge of the global Energy sector, with a focus on Brazil/Latin America.
6. Desirable familiarity with the Utilities sector in Brazil and ANEEL regulation.
7. Passion for Energy and Climate Tech.
8. Ideally, experience in a management consulting firm and/or corporate innovation environment.

5. Passion for early-stage venture capital, startups, and entrepreneurship with a good understanding of emerging technologies.
