ResponsibilitiesIn its role, the Compliance Department contributes fully to the positive impact that Société Générale wishes to have on the transformation of our societies. Therefore, preventing market misconduct, combating money laundering, and thwarting the financing of terrorism and corruption are all tasks that fall within the scope of compliance and contribute to the positive transformation of our economies. Compliance purpose is to advise and to facilitate the management of compliance risk by those responsible for the conduct of the business.
The Compliance Department ensures:
- Compliance with laws, rules and ethical principles specific to banking activities and investment services undertaken by the firm, as well as compliance with staff members' personal rules of good conduct and ethics
- Awareness-raising and training of all players in preventing non-compliance and reputational risks
Tasks and responsibilities- Supporting the Compliance Regulatory Expertise team in LATAM in providing Compliance oversight with respect to the Issues & Breach Management and compliance local program, including by:
- Preparing presentations and reports for senior Compliance management relating to local Compliance Program, Compliance Risk Assessments, as well as Compliance issues and breaches
- Assisting in managing the Compliance issues and breach databases
- Performing a suite of internal controls
- Performing data analytics, root cause analysis, and trend analysis with respect to Compliance issues and breaches
- Participating in special projects in support of the larger Compliance Regulatory Oversight team
- Review and update local policies and procedures
- Seek opportunities to improve risk management and control environment in Compliance Dept
- Data Protection Laws and regulations gap analysis and participate in Sensitive Information Analysis

- Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
- Great attention to detail
- Capable of handling multiple ad-hoc requests
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Proficient/Good command of MS Office
The VIE assignment in a nutshellThis VIE in São Paulo is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 18 months.
In case a visa is necessary, please make sure your passport is valid up to 6 months after the end of the VIE contract to not delay your departure.
