Trade Compliance Specialist

DuPont’s Procurement team is looking for a Trade Compliance Specialist. The Trade Compliance Specialist will be the primary contact for all communications between DuPont and Customs agencies in the LATAM region, including but not limited to, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, for all DuPont import and export activities. This position provides guidance and strategy to DuPont’s businesses, subsidiaries and joint ventures to achieve 100% compliance through internal policies, procedures, KPIs and metrics.

Main activities:

• Drive Trade Compliance within DuPont for all relevant Customs initiatives.
• Ensure timely and accurate responses to all Customs inquiries.
• Develop and offer training in all aspects of import and export compliance including valuation, Country of Origin, Incoterms, DuPont import/export processes, US-Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement, and other trade agreements.
• Provide day-to-day support to internal stakeholders on all aspects of import/export transactions and compliance.
• Provide oversight to the individual lines of business to ensure product classifications are correct.
• Manage relationships with the Customs brokers and support Logistics’ interaction with freight forwarder matters as required.
• Ensure 100% compliance in resolution of trade related issues.

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree with preferred focus in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• Strong Communication skills.
• Advanced level of English and Spanish languages.
• Demonstrated knowledge of logistics transportation and import/export.
• Extensive knowledge of regional Customs regulations and trade programs.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Demonstrated ability to focus on customer.
